HTWFH Editor's Note: Spring into Summer! The perfect time to do some Spring Cleaning, pruning and nurturing of your home business.

Season of Growth!

By Brian Schaeffer, HTWFH Publisher

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Spring into Summer!

Fresh showers. New growth and blooms. The heavenly smells of newly turned soil in the garden.

Seriously, except for that nasty day on April 15th (tax time), I've come to anticipate the Spring and Summer with joy and fondness. Not only is it a time to celebrate life, but it's also a time to take stock of where I am and how I want to grow!

[You folks in the "extreme" northern and southern latitudes can relate to this if you think of dirt as snow.] You see, we don't get a lot of the white stuff here in southern New Mexico. If it snows here at all during the winter (and that's a big "IF"), it'll melt off by 10:30 the next morning!

No kidding!

Given that as the normal situation, you might be wondering what it's like around here in the winter.

It's brown.

Really, really, REALLY brown.

Monotonous, dull, repetitive brown.

Brown in the air when the wind blows, brown on the ground to the horizon when it doesn't!

So you can see why I look forward to our beautiful desert flora budding and leafing (at least to the extent it does).

Brown turns to green as the mesquite and greasewood wake up for the summer! And, oh, the smells of the desert after a fresh rain will send you out of this world!

Watching the yucca and desert willows bloom gets me to thinking about how I want to have my business bloom.

What are my business' soil, sun, water and nourishment? What can I do to better nurture my business so that it really takes off this year and becomes a thing of beauty?!

It's a time for some business planning (and planting!), experimenting, maintaining and lots of TLC!

Get in there and get your hands into the dirt and nitty-gritty of your business. Try some new affiliate shoots. Graft a few programs together so that you have something that is stronger - and more beautiful and bountiful - than it's parts.

Watch your business grow. Nurture it. And take joy and satisfaction in the very act of creation!

I hope you will do just that!
